Maui Jim Sunglasses Surf Shirt

Collaborating with the creative team at Maui Jim Sunglasses, the Master design was hand painted in gouache, using 3 shades of blue paint .This charcoal palette was the second colorway.

I like the texture of this jacquard weave.giving the art a lot of dimension.

Each coconut shell button has 2 tiny palm trees carved into it.

Images to look for:

palm trees
big wave with surfer
plumeria blossoms and leaves
Samoan woodcut images shown vertically and horizontally
logo,Maui Jim, was hand painted also.

I scanned in a portion of my own shirt from their women's line shown here on their site under accessories.

Aloha,

Emma

Pareo Print 100% cotton Kahala

The pareo print used in the background of this picture is actually a very small print for an aloha shirt that Kahala commissioned me to create.

The silk shirt that is being worn by myself is vintage silk with bamboo and a favorite of mine.
